No jobs to be found

It's been a frustrating 5 months for my husband, and the economy in our area sure hasn't helped at all. He's been looking for a job ever since he lost his late last summer, but there just aren't any decent paying jobs available.

He's been fortunate enough to have "hooked up" with a decent temp company in the area that does call him to work a couple of days a week, but they have cardboard displays all over the place filled with their information, which is bringing more and more people into their offices. And the more people they bring in, the less work they have to offer the people who have already signed up with them.

We've had a few lucky breaks bill wise, including a recent deduction in our rent that was HUGE. But living solely on the income that I bring in is making things very difficult! And taking into account that I've lost almost twenty work hours this week because of being sick really isn't going to help matters either. But we can't do much more than what we're already doing. He's applying for jobs left and right and I'm working as steady as I can. But something HAS to break soon because we're not going to be able to survive much longer the way we're going!
