She wants a kitty

My sister, who we recently helped move into a new home, just got her girls a kitten. Now, I'll be the first to admit that kittens are cute, but I'm simply not a cat person at all! I've had one awesome cat for a pet, but I've had several others that have brought out the realization that I won't ever have a cat for a pet again. The problem is that my daughter now wants a "cute and cuddly baby kitty". Do you think she'd notice if I went shopping for plush animals and brought her home a stuffed one instead? LOL
