WE LOVE OUR ZOO!!!

LOL, that's the Zoo's slogan this year, it previously was "Everybody's Zooing It" which I kind of like more...LOL

Anyway the kids and I did our annual "Welcome Summer" trip to the zoo yesterday. It's kind of one of those tradition things. The last few years, on the first Monday that the kids are out of school on Summer Break, we make a trip to our local zoo. We go on Monday's because it's free for county residents, which is nice, the only thing you have to pay for is parking.

A few years back I made the trip with a lady that I met online from the area and took this pic of the kids, which to this day is still one of my favorite pics of them!!!

Aren't they just A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!!!!! I've always loved that pic of them! My guess is going to be that was probably 5 years ago. Fast forward to yesterday. Although it's a different rock (because you can't climb on the rock the first one was taken on any more) here's my kids now.

OH MY GAWD!!! Have they really grown that much?? YUP!! Snotty little brats anyway....LMAO!!
We had a good day though. I took my boss's 2 youngest kids and I'm thrilled to say that all 4 were on their best behavior and we had no problems at all!!!!

On another note, I woke up this morning and had the most ungodly pain in my left eye. When I finally manged to stumble and trip into the bathroom I didn't like what I seen at all!! My eye was swollen and GOOEY, on top of that the white of my eye was completely blood red. Now mind you, this really isn't rare for me, but being this bad was rare. So I called my boss and took the day off and called the new insurance company at 8 on the nose. Got some AWESOME info from them. They don't require referrals from my primary care doc, so I was able to call an Opthamologist directly and make an appointment. Luckily, they had a cancellation and were able to get me in at 10 this morning! Now for the "bad" news. The Opthamologist feels there is a good possibility that I have arthritis in my eye. WHA????? I have never in my life heard of anyone with arthritis of the eye!! She did several tests and looked at my eye better that it's ever been looked into before, put a couple of medications in it and wrote me a prescription for some steroid drops that I have to put in every 2 hours AROUND THE CLOCK. Yes ladies and gents, that means I have to wake up every 2 hours through the night, for the next 3 nights, to put these drops in......can you say UGH??? I go back to her on Friday, if there is no change she's going to send me to a specialist in her office and more tests will be ran.
I guess the news could be worse huh? I'm happy to say that the meds she put in helped with the pain alot!

Ok, it's buggin my eyes to look at the monitor so I'm going to go chill out a bit. Have a great night!
