Monday...

You know, I tired all weekend to come in here and blog, but either something else came up or I simply couldn't think of anything to say...LOL. I guess both have their good points ;o)

Today was a busy day. Kryssy started band in school last week, so on Monday and Wednesdays she rides the bus with her brother to his school in the morning, which comes more than an hour before her bus does. This has is good and bad points. The bad is the fact that I have to have the 2 of them up and going at the same time in the morning. For those of you that know me well, you know that these 2 DO NOT get along, and the more time they spend separated, the better! I've truly enjoyed school mornings this year because Keith is up and on the bus to school before I even have to get Kryssy up. The good point, however, is that if I have to work, I can get to work almost 1 1/2 hours earlier than I normally do. Which is what I did today.

I got to work at about 7:15 and started in. I was working on a very nice 2 bed/bath condo today. The leasing agent said it was in "nice" shape. I sure do wish she wouldn't say things like that anymore because she is always WAAAAAAY off! This one wasn't in too bad of shape until I got to the kitchen and realized that the person that had moved out was apparently not only a long time resident, but also a VERY heavy smoker and someone who made greasy or fried foods OFTEN.

The kitchen had white cabinets in it, but let me tell you, they were NOT white!! They were more of a yellowish/beige color and were YUCKIE!! On top of that every drawer near the stove was just caked with gooey grease! I was making great time until I hit that kitchen. It took me almost as much time to do just the kitchen as it took me to do 2 berooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 walk in closets and the laundry room.

On top of that, my "helper" never showed up today. She called last night and said that she had a doctors appointment at 10:30 and would be in after her appointment. Finally, at about 1;30, she called me to say she wasn't coming at all. I talked to my boss last night and he said he was going to try to find me another helper. I'm crossing my fingers that it's someone better than this one!

Anyway, I think I'm going to hit the couch for a bit. I'm battling a nasty sinus infection and just feel YUCK!! Hope everyone's Monday is going as well as possible!
