I just can't help myself...LOL

OK, I'm not one of those people who isn't happy with what I have, I can PROMISE you that! But I am always looking at different things after I've done a project! As you know we recently semi remodeled our living room, meaning we painted the walls, ceiling and trim around the windows, and we also purchased new furniture.

I LOVE my new furniture, but I can't help but wonder if we wouldn't have been happier if we had purchased on of those sectional sofas instead of purchasing a sofa, love seat and chair. But don't tell my hubby, he'll give me one of "those" looks...LOL

Only one more piece of furniture

And my living room "make over" is done! It's taken some time and ALOT of work, but the painting is done now, the curtains are hung, the new furniture is all in place and getting broken in. The only thing that I still want and need to replace is my entertainment center. The stand the TV is currently in is pushing 40 years old. It's still very sturdy, but simply doesn't match any longer. I've thought about simply stripping it and refinishing it, but when I look at some of the beautiful entertainment centers that Powell furniture has I think I'm going to skip the hard work and just buy a new one!

Why I haven't been around much

I'm not sure if you remember, but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in August I started painting my kitchen. It all started over a dark spot in the ceiling under an ugly fluorescent light that we took down and just expanded.

Well, 6 months later, it's still a work in progress....LOL! Yes, I know, it should have been done well before now, but I just haven't had the ambition nor have I wanted to paint. That was until this past weekend.

All of a sudden on Saturday I had the idea that I wanted to get the kitchen done and I wanted it done NOW! So, that's what I've been doing. The white is 99% done except for some touch ups and the brownish tan color is maybe 75% done. It looks AMAZING! I'm so glad I went with these 2 colors. My hope is to have it all 100% done by the end of this weekend. Once it's done I'll be sure to post pictures!
