One down, one to go

I had totally forgotten that we were doing a "gift exchange" with a neighbor until this afternoon after I had already gotten home from work. Fortunately hubby didn't mind running into the "Insane Asylum" after he got home to pick up what we needed. I don't know why I had forgotten about this, we've been planning on this with them for a few weeks now, just were unsure of the day/time. We were going to head over to my friend Lisa's house and give her some cookies and hang out for a bit tonight, but it kind of fell through for tonight, which is fine cuz it's on for Sunday now which actually works out MUCH better!

So we called the neighbor to find out of they were home and went down there tonight. It's actually an easy gift exchange because we simply exchange gift cards....LOL. We get them one for the family for a restaurant, then the 2 older kids each get their own gift card, and their youngest is a girl who is TOTALLY into Barbie, so we always get her Barbie stuff.

So, that's the first gift exchange out of 2 that we have for this year, the other is tomorrow at my sisters. Not really an "exchange", it's my kids' Christmas with their Grandmother. Normally we have it here, but a few things "came up" this year, so we're having it at my sisters. I'm not thrilled about this one bit, but it was my choice, a VERY DUMB choice, but I can live with it!

After tomorrow the "stress" of the holidays is over for me. Sunday at Lisa's will be relaxing and fun, and I'm really looking forward to it! And YES Lisa, I'd say that even if I didn't know you read my blog :P

And Monday will be just the 4 of us, also very relaxing! I like my quiet Christmas!
