WELCOME SPRING!

Good morning everyone and happy first day of spring 2006! I'm sitting here this morning wrapped up in a blanket...LOL. Like an idiot I spent a good chunk of the day outside yesterday, not that being outside is a bad thing, just that for some reason my body didn't realize how cold it actually was, even though I was more than dressed appropriately.

Let me explain a bit. Several years ago I met a woman from my area online. We met through an online camping group and when we realized how close we lived, we decided to meet in person and have a camping trip. She "introduced" me to the neatest State Park that had a wonderful and totally rustic camping area! Over the years we have had many camping trips there, although not so many in the past few years. The one thing that we have "attempted" to do the past few years is get together at this park when spring "officially" arrives.

Yesterday was an "OK" day weather wise, could have been worse, could have been better, but it was quite chilly! I took along a thermos of coffee and we "hung out" for a few hours, talking and walking around the camping area. It was a really nice time, and even though I knew it was chilly, for some reason my mind and body weren't quite registering how COLD it actually was. I was fine while at the park, and even on the 45 minute drive home. But once I walked in the door at home, OH LORDY! My body started shaking uncontrollably! I was froze to the bone and didn't even realize it! It took me almost 5 hours of sitting under blankets in front of a space heater before I finally started to feel something besides cold.

By the time I went to bed last night I felt REALLY crappy!! My head was pounding, my neck ached, I had a sore throat and a nasty cough. It was a rough night and I'm not feeling any better today.

So, I got to welcome spring, but winter turned around on it's way out and kicked my butt....LOL!!

Anyway, as you can see I've made a few changes on the blogs look. I'm going to start making some other changes too, but figured this one needed to get done first. Stay tuned, I think it's going to be fun!
