Here's something funny for you to read

As many of you already know, I have 2 children. One child is 11 and in the 6th grade, the other is 14 and in the 8th grade. My 8th grader is having a very interesting weekend this weekend. It's his weekend to bring home the "Baby Think It Over" baby. Let me tell you, it's been interesting to say the least!

The "baby" activated yesterday at 4:00 p.m. with a coo and a giggle. Since then it has been through several bottles and diaper changes as well as periods of times that it has cried just for the sake of crying. Now my son has been almost obsessive over his "baby", almost to the point of not letting family members help. It's brought out a side of him that has just totally amazed me! It's not that he's a "bad" child, he's just at that very difficult stage in life and his emotions sometimes get the best of him.

I opted to camp out with him in the living room over night in case the "baby" woke up and he was having a hard time. He woke up with her every time, did what was necessary to stop the crying, got her back to sleep then went back to sleep himself. During her last wake up, after he got her back to sleep I asked him if he had learned anything. His words were "Yeah, to not have one of THOSE", pointing at his "baby". But he said it with a smile.

He did finally "give in" and is allowing us to take care of the "baby" while he gets a little bit of gaming time in on his favorite computer game. But it's been cute and he admitted that he's becoming attached to his "baby". I asked him if he thought he would cry when he had to give her back on Monday, to which he replied "Probably".

I hope he learns from this and doesn't become a young father! Besides, I'm definitely not ready to be a grandma yet...LOL!

This is HILLARIOUS

OK, you have to go HERE and check out this site! It has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen! You make yourself into an elf by uploading a picture then centering it, etc. After that you can call a toll free number and record a message, then put it all together and send it to your friends! OMG, it's HILARIOUS!!!!

If you elf yourself, PLEASE let me know or give me a link, I'd love to see it!

Guys can be such dorkfish!

Now, I know that to guys, things that are "female related" can be a joke and a source of laughter. By "female things" I'm talking about under garments, pregnancy related items and products for "that" time of the month. I deal with this as my husband chuckles through the commercials that comes across TV and while my son makes jokes while I'm folding undergarments. But what happened tonight simply annoys the crud out of me!

I ran to the store to pick up a few things we needed here at the house and to replace a bra that fell apart in the dryer today. I also needed "supplies" for "that" time of the month. While I was in the aisle where said supplies were I noticed to young men walk by. By young, I do not mean children, I mean like college age guys. Now, I didn't think anything of them walking by until I heard some snickering from the next aisle over. The next thing I knew these two were standing near me and watching my every move. When I turned and looked at them they both just busted out laughing. I just grabbed what I was looking at and walked away, thinking to myself what a couple of upstanding young men we have there.

Now, normally I would have left it at that and not thought anything else about it. But I just discovered that in my rush to get away from the dorkfish, I ended up grabbing the wrong product. **UGH**

So, if there are any guys that read this, please just know that you don't impress women when you act like that! And while you're at it, would you mind running to the store for me and getting me the right product? **snicker**snicker**

Remember "My dog ate my homework"?

I tell you, being a dog owner is a never ending job! We have 2 dogs, Harley is an 18 month old boxer/shepherd mix. He's a good dog that we got as a 6 week old puppy and have really worked hard with him, so he is very well behaved. Riley is an 11 month old pure bred Labrador retriever that we got when he was about 5 months old. We believe he was very neglected at his prior home and fought with the 2 elder dogs there. Our reasoning behind this is because he was nothing but skin and bones when we got him, the first time we gave him a dish of food he scarfed it in like 2 seconds, then went over to Harley's bowl, gave Harley a horrid growl, then scarfed Harley's food down. That scared the crap out of us. When we talked to the lady we got him from she then admitted that Riley had been literally thrown in with 2 adult mating boxers and was left to fend for himself, thus the food issues and the reasons he had scars all over his face. It took several weeks to get Riley to realize that he could take his time eating his food and that Harley was not going to take it away from him. Riley is still much more dominant than Harley is, and since he weighs almost 2 times more than Harley does, Harley tends to back down from Riley.

The other "problem" we have with Riley is that he will chew up anything that is not permanently attached, which from what I understand is very common with Labrador's. Thus, the title of my post.

I just got off the phone with a friend, but as we were ending the call I seen that Riley had something in his mouth. It was a Walmart receipt. When I told my friend this we both started laughing and she went into this "I hope it's not from anything you need to return because you'll have to explain to them that you only have part of the receipt because the dog ate it". Which got us BOTH to laughing our butts off!

But I love my "puppies" even if they drive me INSANE!
