I want to fly a kite

Yes, I'm being serious here. One of the things I cherish from my childhood was standing out in the side yard flying a kite. Now, back then our kites were mostly paper kites with balsa wood frames, but man did they ever fly! On a recent visit to a hobby shop it was obvious how much kites have changed since my childhood. Gone are the paper kites with balsa wood frames, they've been replaced with kites made from a nylon material with plastic or fiberglass frames. Although I miss the kites from my childhood, I must admit that today's kites are much more impressive!
