TGIF

OMG, it's FINALLY Friday! I never thought this day would come! And I honestly thought I'd have the kids here with me all day again today, but thankfully their school didn't even delay this morning....WHOOHOO!!

OK, first things first, I LOVE YOU GUYS!! All of my life I've dealt with judgmental people, so my "assumption" is that when I post about my life, my REAL life, people are going to judge me on here too. I'm slowly learning that that is WRONG! Thank you to EVERYONE who either left me a comment or emailed me with your support over the situation with my sister. It meant the world to me! And it also helps me realize that there are people in this world who don't judge.

I'm feeling better about the whole situation this morning, even though I STILL have not heard back from my sister. But I've come to the realization that if she is the one that has a problem with me holding the get together here, that is simply HER problem and not mine! This is MY FAMILY'S time to have Christmas with my mom and it in no way needs to be "convenient" for her OR her husband, PERIOD!

Man, we ended up getting snow ALLLLLL day yesterday! It had started before I woke up at 5, and did not end until after 7 last night. About 3 yesterday afternoon, the kids and I decided we wanted to attempt to make a snow man....LMAO! I wish I could have video taped it because you all would be laughing your butts off! There was an ample amount of snow, and it was a nice "packing" snow. BUT, it was simply too wet to "roll". So, after about 30 minutes of trying, we simply gave up and decided to have an all out snow ball fight!!! We had SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun, and we were laughing our butts off, UNTIL.....

Yeah, there is a "hitch" in this story. We're out in the front yard playing in the snow having fun when we hear a snow plow coming down the road. NOT a big deal, we have a HUGE front yard and were well enough away from the road that it wouldn't have "hit" us, BUT, the idiot tore down my mail box!!!! I go running and screaming after him, but he is oblivious to what he's done. Now fortunately, we have one of those nifty Rubbermaid mail boxes, so all it did was pop the top part off. Unfortunately, I am not mechanically "gifted" in some areas, so I had no idea how to fix it. So I come into the house and call the hubba bubba and tell him. He's like "Don't worry about it Jo, I'll fix it when I get home". Poor guy, he ended up working snow removal for over 15 horus yesterday, THEN had to come home and plow out our 1/4 mile long driveway and do our sidewalks AND fix the stinking mail box. He's my HERO!!!

Anyway, my difficult day ended nicely and we all went to bed early last night and got a good nights sleep, and the kids are both in school today :D So I think that today I am going to finish getting my Christmas decorations up and possibly even "attempt" to clean my daughters room. If you don't hear from me again it means that I fell into the black hole so call the National Guard please....LOL!!
